What BoardNight Collects
Your game library and local game nights use device and iCloud storage. Your signed-in BoardNight account also stores your chosen profile name, optional username and photo, profile code, discovery preference and account friend connections in our backend so they can be restored on another device. Apple sign-in details and email are private account data and are not included in social profile cards.
Profile Sharing
There is no public profile directory. Exact username lookup is off until you enable it. Signed-in people can find your chosen name and photo using an enabled exact username, or a profile link or code you share. A friend request requires acceptance. People you join in a Tonight session, including guests with a session invite, can see the chosen social profile used in that session. Nearby discovery advertises your chosen host name while you host a nearby game night. We resize uploaded photos and remove embedded metadata before sharing them.
Keeping and Removing Profile Data
Profile data is retained while your account exists. You can change your name or photo, turn off username lookup, reset your profile link and code, or remove friends in the app. Pending friend requests expire after 30 days and are removed by a daily cleanup job. Account deletion removes your backend profile and both sides of your friend connections. It does not delete other people's independently saved local game records or copies they have already made. Your separate device and iCloud game library is not deleted.
Operational Data
We may process app session identifiers, App Attest verification records, limited request metadata, BGG proxy cache entries, invite state, and entitlement events. We do not sell personal information or build cross-app advertising profiles.
Choices
You can control Apple analytics sharing in iOS Settings. For privacy requests, use the support and privacy choices pages.
